The clip recording a bus suddenly stopping in the middle of Vo Nguyen Giap Street to pick up passengers spread on Facebook on July 7, causing public outrage about the behavior that poses a potential danger to traffic.
According to the clip from the car's dashcam, the bus with a HCMC license plate (belonging to the 19.5 Transport Cooperative) overtook the car in front and suddenly broke down in the middle of the road. About 5 seconds later, a group of about 3 passengers from the bus waiting station hurriedly crossed the road to get on the bus, then the bus continued moving.
A representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Public Transport Management Center confirmed the incident that occurred at around 8:57 a.m. on July 6. The driver of the vehicle was Mr. B.N.K, operating on the bus route with subsidy No. 150 (Cho Lon Bus Station - Tan Van Intersection), heading towards Cho Lon Bus Station. The act of welcoming guests in the wrong place has been recorded.
The center has coordinated with the 19.5 Transport Cooperative to inspect and request a quick report on the incident, and at the same time make a record to serve as a basis for contract sanctions according to regulations.
On the same day, July 7, the Cat Lai Traffic Police Team also invited the bus driver to the headquarters to handle the incident.
