On May 28, news from the Economic, Infrastructure and Urban Department of Nam Nha Trang ward said that it had requested Nam Nha Trang Investment and Development Co., Ltd. to implement measures to ensure environmental sanitation and minimize sand and dust during the project construction process.
The local authorities' reminder to the investor was implemented after people's reflections on the situation of construction vehicles causing dust pollution and traffic unsafety.
According to reports, from 6:30 AM to 7:30 AM on some days of the week, on N1 road, Bac Hon Ong training and vocational training area, many trucks carrying materials for urban project construction appeared.

People said that vehicles carrying materials do not cover carefully, spilling soil and sand onto the road, causing dust every time vehicles travel, affecting traffic safety, especially for students going to school.
Recording feedback, Mr. Ngu Quoc Viet - Head of the Economic, Infrastructure and Urban Department of Nam Nha Trang ward signed a document requesting the investor to urgently implement environmental protection measures.
According to the Economic, Infrastructure and Urban Department, Nam Nha Trang Investment and Development Co., Ltd. is implementing the construction of the Nha Trang City Mixed-Use Urban Area item under the project in Nam Nha Trang ward.
Through actual inspection and people's feedback, the Economic, Infrastructure and Urban Department found that the construction unit has not strictly implemented environmental protection measures.
The situation of dust spreading is serious when vehicles transporting sand and soil are not covered with tarpaulins or have careless covering, causing materials to spill onto the road.
Sand gathering areas and construction road surfaces have not been sprayed with water to reduce dust regularly, affecting traffic visibility and the health of people living around the area, especially on roads around the project and Nguyen Tat Thanh street.
The Economic, Infrastructure and Urban Department of Nam Nha Trang ward requested the investor to urgently implement many measures such as arranging specialized vehicles to spray water to reduce dust in the construction area and material gathering yard, especially during peak hours and hot weather.
All vehicles transporting sand and construction materials entering and leaving the construction site must be covered with tarpaulins to prevent them from spilling onto the road.
If dust and sand pollution continues to occur, affecting the environment and people's lives, the locality will advise the Ward People's Committee to make a record, temporarily suspend construction and coordinate with functional agencies to handle it according to regulations.
Currently, the Traffic Police Department of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police also regularly organizes daily patrols and inspections on Nguyen Tat Thanh Avenue, roads in the Bac Hon Ong area and Provincial Road 3, Nam Nha Trang ward.
The Traffic Police Department has also worked with the project construction unit, requesting to ensure environmental sanitation, collect soil and sand scattered on the road surface, and regularly spray water at road sections without asphalt causing environmental pollution.
