At noon on February 22, the leader of Tuy Phuoc Traffic Police Station, Traffic Police Department of Binh Dinh Province Police confirmed that a passenger bus fire had just occurred on National Highway 1, passing through Dieu Tri town (Tuy Phuoc district, Binh Dinh). The fire only caused property damage, no human damage.

"During a patrol and control on National Highway 1, the Traffic Police discovered a passenger bus on fire, so they quickly coordinated with the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police to put out the fire, and regulate traffic. The cause of the fire is being clarified by the authorities," he said.

According to initial information, at around 7:30 a.m. the same day, a passenger bus with license plate 35F-000.XX driven by Mr. Hoang Khac Phi (50 years old, residing in Ninh Binh province) was traveling on National Highway 1 in the South - North direction.

When reaching the section of National Highway 1 through Dieu Tri town, the cabin behind the vehicle suddenly caught fire. At this time, there were 4 passengers and 4 bus company staff on the bus.

The authorities quickly arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire. The fire caused severe damage to the passenger bus.
