On February 19, according to information from the Traffic Police Department, implementing the direction of the Department, the Traffic Police Department - Hung Yen Provincial Police received, verified and handled a complaint via Zalo from the Director about a passenger car with license plate 17F-002. xx of D-T bus company running the Hung Yen - Lai Chau route showing signs of carrying more people than prescribed.
Through direct inspection and counting, functional forces determined that the passenger car was 45 seats but actually carried 109 passengers. The vehicle driver, Dinh Van A (born in 1982, residing in Nam Cuong commune, Hung Yen province) committed the violation: driving a passenger car running a route with a distance of more than 300 km, carrying more people than allowed by the vehicle.
Penalty level for drivers: A fine of 75,000 VND, minus 10 points on the driver's license.
For vehicle owners who are D-T Joint Stock Company, the act of allowing employees to control vehicles to commit the above violations shall be handled according to Clause 6, Article 32, Decree 168/2024/ND-CP dated December 27, 2024 of the Government.

Fine level for vehicle owners: A fine of 150,000,000 VND, revocation of the right to use the "Contract Vehicle" badge for 2 months.
The total fine for vehicle owners and drivers is 22,500,000 VND.

The Traffic Police Department requests people to provide violation information of passenger cars through receiving channels (fanpage, VNeTraffic application, phone number to receive feedback from the Traffic Police Department) to promptly verify, handle, and ensure traffic safety for people traveling after Tet.
