On February 15, the Thai Lan Crossroads Traffic Police Station (Traffic Police Department, Dong Nai Provincial Police) made a record of administrative violation against a passenger car carrying more people than prescribed, with a total fine of 72 million VND.
Previously, at about 0:05 on February 15, the unit received a report from people reflecting that a 42-seater passenger car traveling on the Vung Tau - Can Tho route showed signs of carrying more people than allowed.
Immediately upon receiving the information, the Station Command directed the patrol and control team to quickly deploy forces and stop the vehicle with license plate 72H-040. xx of H.H. bus company for inspection.
Through actual inspection, functional forces determined that the vehicle was carrying 58/42 people, exceeding 16 passengers compared to the allowed number of seats according to regulations.
Working with functional forces, driver T.T. T (40 years old, residing in Vinh Long) admitted the violation.
The working group made a record of administrative violations in accordance with regulations; at the same time, requested vehicle owners to mobilize other vehicles to transfer the excess number of passengers, ensuring safety for people, and not interrupting the journey home during the peak Tet holiday.
