At 1:02 am on April 8, the Fire and Rescue Team of Area 5 (Fire and Rescue Police Department) received a report from Thuy Nguyen Ward Police about an incident of a truck crashing into a house wall, causing 2 people to be trapped in the cabin, unable to escape on their own in residential group 7, Thuy Nguyen ward, Hai Phong.
Immediately after receiving the information, the Fire and Rescue Team of Region 5 informed the 114 Command Center, dispatched 1 fire truck and hydraulic cutting equipment to the scene, and requested reinforcement of 1 rescue vehicle of Team Region 4 and coordinated with medical forces to organize rescue.
At the scene, the truck with license plate 36C-456. 20 overturned, the front part hit an electric pole, the cabin was seriously deformed. A male victim was trapped in the lower body behind the steering wheel, and a female victim had her leg stuck in the passenger seat. Both had bleeding in many places. Medical staff conducted intravenous fluids right at the scene during the rescue operation.
The rescue force used hydraulic cutting equipment to expand the cabin, and at the same time used hydraulic jacks to lift and loosen the deformed part... By more than 2 am on the same day, the forces brought the female victim out and successfully rescued the male victim and handed her over to the medical force of Viet Tiep Friendship Hospital for emergency treatment.
The two victims were identified as Mr. D. V. M (born in 1977) and Ms. N.T. H (born in 1980), both with broken legs, multiple soft tissue injuries, blood loss but not life-threatening. After completing the rescue work, the forces handed over the scene to Thuy Nguyen Ward Police for handling according to regulations, and at the same time notified the electricity sector to fix the damaged power pole, ensuring safety for people in the area.
