According to initial information, at about 6:45 a.m. on April 22, a truck carrying goods with license plate 29KT-2xx.xx was traveling on the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway (from Ho Chi Minh City to Dong Nai Province). When reaching the section passing through Phuoc Thien commune, Nhon Trach district, the driver discovered smoke and fire coming from the truck's body, so he quickly stopped the truck and escaped from the cabin.
Upon receiving the fire alarm, the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Nhon Trach area (Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department of Dong Nai Province Police) sent people and vehicles to quickly arrive at the scene to put out the fire. Professional firefighters sprayed water to cool, used hammers to open the cargo box door and extinguished the burning fire.
At about 7:10 a.m. the same day, the fire was completely extinguished. Although there were no human casualties, the fire damaged the rear of the car and many goods inside.
Currently, the authorities are verifying and clarifying the cause of the incident.
