On August 13, Bao Lam 5 Commune Police (Lam Dong Province) said that the unit is focusing on verifying and clarifying the illegal possession of forest products against Pham Van Q and Hoang Van X for handling according to the provisions of law.
Previously, on the evening of August 10, through patrolling and controlling the area to ensure security and order, Bao Lam 5 Commune Police discovered that the hut owned by Pham Van Q (45 years old, residing in Loc Bao Village 3, Bao Lam Commune 5) was hiding some forest products with unusual signs.

Immediately afterwards, Bao Lam 5 Commune Police quickly took the lead in coordinating with Bao Lam Area Forest Protection Department (under Lam Dong Provincial Forest Protection Department) to conduct an inspection and clarify the above wood.
Through inspection, the authorities discovered that Mr. Q's hut was hiding 11 boxes and 52 boxes and wooden boards (all made of Doi wood), with a total area of 3.887m3.
Bao Lam 5 Commune Police continued to expand and discovered that another level 4 house owned by Mr. Pham Van Q was hiding 38 Doi and Kien Kien wooden lots, with a total area of 2.916m3.
The total number of forest products discovered by the authorities in the 2 houses owned by Mr. Q was 6.803m3. All of this is without a forest protection hammer and documents and invoices proving its origin.

Working with the police, Pham Van Q admitted that he and another man, Hoang Van X (44 years old, living in Bao Lam 1 commune), shared the money to buy all the wood from some people going to the forest.
From Q's testimony, Bao Lam 5 Commune Police invited Hoang Van X to work and this person admitted to the above behavior.
According to the authorities, Kien Kien and Doi are both members of the precious wood group. In which, Kien Kien belongs to group 2A and Doi belongs to group 3.
Currently, Bao Lam 5 Commune Police have drawn up a record to temporarily detain all of the above-mentioned Doi and Kien Kien to serve the work of strictly handling the subjects according to the provisions of law.
