On August 11, Politburo member, Secretary of the Government Party Committee, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a meeting of the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee to give opinions on the preparation for the Congress and documents for the 1st Government Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term.
Attending the meeting were Politburo member, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh; members of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Prime Minister, members of the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee, leaders of ministries, agencies under the Government, members of the Congress Organizing Subcommittees.
The Government Party Committee currently has 51 subordinate Party Committees, including 21 Party Committees of ministries, ministerial-level agencies, agencies under the Government, advisory and support agencies of the Government Party Committee and 30 Party Committees of corporations, general companies, and state-owned commercial banks, with over 209,000 Party members.
Speaking at the meeting, the Party Committee Secretary and Prime Minister stated that this is an important milestone for the Party Committee; welcomed and highly appreciated the relevant agencies for preparing documents well with high responsibility.
To best organize the Congress, the Party Secretary and Prime Minister requested to continue reviewing all work contents to supplement, adjust, improve, prepare more carefully and fully, propose to competent authorities on issues beyond authority, ensure seriousness, strictness, meeting the requirements of progress and improving quality, on the basis of closely following, strictly following and creatively applying the regulations and instructions of the Central Committee, Directive No. 45 of the Politburo on Party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh directed to continue perfecting the theme and motto of the Congress; further improving and enhancing the quality of documents, affirming the achieved results, pointing out the shortcomings, analyzing lessons learned from the 2020-2025 term, forecasting the upcoming situation, determining directions and tasks, especially key tasks, breakthroughs, different from the previous term in leadership in implementing political tasks, Party building work... on the basis of strict implementation, creatively applying 5 principles of operation and 5 leadership methods of the Party.
The Prime Minister noted a number of key tasks and solutions, breakthroughs in the coming term to promote double-digit economic growth in the coming years, develop strategic infrastructure, and develop culture.
Stating that the assignment of work must ensure "6 clear": Clear people, clear work, clear time, clear products, clear responsibilities, easy to remember, easy to do, easy to promote, easy to inspect and supervise, the Party Committee Secretary and Prime Minister requested relevant agencies to continue to collect opinions to absorb, supplement and perfect documents of the Government Party Congress; report and ask for opinions from competent authorities according to regulations on the preparation work for the Congress, on comments on the documents of the 14th National Party Congress to ensure completeness, concision, conciseness, clarity, depth and sharpness.
