On May 3, Song Cau Ward People's Committee (Dak Lak province) confirmed that the unit had received a direct complaint from a tourist about the service quality at accommodation T in the area.
Accordingly, on May 1st, Song Cau Ward Police conducted an inspection, made a record and handled the incident. Functional forces worked with both related parties. The accommodation establishment returned 2.5 million VND to the guest.
The Ward People's Committee also rectifies and strictly handles the situation of high fees during holidays, in order to build a friendly and civilized Song Cau tourism image in the eyes of tourists.
According to Song Cau Ward People's Committee, the incident had been resolved before. However, it is not clear why the information continued to spread on social networks until May 2.
Previously, an article appeared on social networks by a tourist sharing about "bad experiences" when using services at accommodation T in Song Cau ward with relatives.
In the post, tourists appreciated the beach landscape in the area but said that the accommodation facility's service had many shortcomings, especially the collection of fees that were considered "sky-high". Attached to it was a detailed invoice for services used during the holidays.
Specifically, even though customers bought food themselves to cook, the establishment still charged a service fee for 3 meals with a total amount of 5.2 million VND; beer price was calculated at 900,000 VND/barrel; coal stove 200,000 VND... The total cost that the tourist group paid during the stay from the evening of April 29 to the morning of May 1 was more than 14.3 million VND.
