On the afternoon of August 11, information from the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) of the Ministry of Public Security said that, through grasping information on cyberspace about the railway traffic collision incident that occurred in the "railway coffee" area, the Traffic Police Department of Hanoi City Police directed Road Traffic Police Team No. 4 to coordinate with the Police of Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam Ward to urgently verify, clarify and handle the coffee shop owner in the railway traffic safety corridor area.
The verification results determined that at about 1:30 pm on August 7, 2026, in front of houses 14B and 28C Nha Dau Collective, Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam ward, a group of 4 foreign tourists (identity and nationality not yet determined) stood in the Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City railway area to film clips when the train passed.
During the filming, a female tourist sat close to the railway track area, using her phone to record. When the train moved through, this person's phone was hit by the train, causing the phone to fly out.
Fortunately, the incident did not cause any injuries; the phone was damaged. After the incident, because she was not injured, the female tourist did not come to the police station to report and left the scene on her own.
Currently, functional agencies are continuing to verify and clarify the identity and nationality of the female tourist and related contents to the case.
During the verification process, Road Traffic Police Team No. 4 in coordination with Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam Ward Police worked with business households in the area. Based on the verification results, Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam Ward Police made a record of administrative violation and handled Ms. N.T. D (born in 1963, owner of a coffee shop in the area), for the act of "Selling goods within the scope of railway traffic safety corridor".

In the coming time, the traffic police force will continue to coordinate with the Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam Ward Police to proactively grasp train schedules, arrange forces to maintain and ensure traffic order and safety, urban order on the railway line passing through the area; strengthen inspection and strictly handle cases of violations of the railway traffic safety corridor, especially coffee business households along the line.
