According to the Railway industry, in the past time, the unit has implemented a flexible ticket price policy to meet the diverse needs of passengers. Ticket prices are determined according to the time of ticket purchase, train travel time, type of seat, passenger group and preferential programs in each period.
To suit the flexible ticket sales policy, while improving passenger experience and meeting digital transformation requirements, from July 10, ticket price information will no longer be displayed on the train boarding pass.
The information serving the journey is still kept unchanged, including: ticket code (Ticket ID), departure station, arrival station, train number, departure date, departure time, carriage, seat, type of seat, ticket type, passenger name and other identification information serving ticket inspection and control and train operation organization.
The Railway industry affirms that the adjustment only relates to the content displayed on the boarding pass, does not change the ticket price policy, passenger rights as well as transparency in ticket price management and lookup.
According to the explanation of the unit, not displaying ticket prices on the boarding pass contributes to perfecting the modern ticket sales model, and at the same time limits confusion or misunderstandings when passengers travel on the same train, in the same carriage but buy tickets at different times or are applied with different preferential programs, so there are different prices. This is also a trend applied by many modern passenger transport types.
Although the ticket price is no longer displayed on the boarding pass, passengers can still look up ticket price information through the railway industry's electronic ticket sales website, confirm ticket booking notifications, electronic invoices or contact staff at stations, ticket sales points and customer care switchboards for support.
For agencies, units, and businesses that need to pay and finalize travel expenses, not displaying ticket prices on boarding passes does not affect the provision of electronic invoices or valid documents as prescribed by law.
