On January 22, the Tan Son Nhat Traffic Police Team coordinated with functional forces to simultaneously launch a campaign to strictly handle the situation of encroachment on roads and sidewalks.
The inter-sectoral working group including the Tan Son Nhat Traffic Police Team (PC08 Department), the Administrative Management Police Department for Social Order and Tay Thanh Ward Police, conducted patrols and inspections of the Tay Thanh apartment complex area.

Here, functional forces discovered many small traders selling vegetables and fruits spilling onto the road. Along with that, a large number of motorbikes of both buyers and sellers were parked rampant, causing traffic obstruction and potential risk of accidents. The working group made a record of violations and confiscated many signs and violating pushcarts.

On Pham Van Bach street (Tan Son ward) - where the situation of encroachment and trading is complicated, the Tan Son Nhat Traffic Police Team (Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police) coordinated with Tan Son Ward Police to inspect the order of roads and sidewalks and rectify the situation of encroachment.

During the campaign, functional forces made records of many violations such as trading and doing business encroaching on sidewalks and roadways; illegal parking; trading small-scale goods on prohibited roads; temporarily using roadways and sidewalks for other purposes without a permit.

Some violating vehicles are temporarily detained according to regulations. In addition to handling violations, functional forces also combine propaganda and mobilization of people to raise awareness of law compliance.
Captain Nguyen Van Long, Deputy Head of Tan Son Ward Police, said that handling violations is still difficult due to the characteristics of the border area and the situation of people from other places coming to trade illegally.
However, functional forces are determined to handle it thoroughly. "Up to now, main roads such as Pham Van Bach and many other roads have become neater and more orderly than before," said Captain Nguyen Van Long.
In the coming time, relevant units will continue to strengthen coordination, organize many regular inspections to maintain urban order and ensure traffic safety.
