On August 15, Quang Tri Provincial Police said that the Internal Political Security Department had just administratively fined L.N.T (born in 2005, residing in Bac Trach Commune) 5 million VND for providing and sharing false information, insulting the reputation of the People's Public Security force.
Previously, through professional work, the authorities discovered that the Facebook account "Liu T" posted content insulting the Traffic Police with a photo of the force handling the accident. After posting, the account owner locked the personal page protection mode to avoid detection.
Using professional measures, the Internal Political Security Department verified that L.N.T was the account manager. T admitted to making comments insulting the honor and reputation of the Traffic Police force.
The authorities issued a decision to fine 5 million VND.
L.N.T has removed the violating comments, pledged not to repeat the offense and clearly recognized that his actions were illegal.
