The explosion occurred in the early morning of August 15 at a company on Duong Van Duong Street, Tan Son Nhi Ward, causing part of the factory to collapse, affecting many surrounding houses. Fortunately, there were no casualties in the incident.


According to records at the scene, the explosive power of the explosion was very strong. The iron frame and corrugated iron roof of part of the factory area were completely deformed, with many pieces of broken glass scattered dozens of meters away. A series of neighboring houses had cracked walls, broken glass doors and many damaged properties.
Immediately after receiving the report at around 1:00 a.m. on August 15, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (HCMC Police) dispatched 3 specialized vehicles and 18 officers and soldiers to the scene. The authorities promptly blocked off the scene and deployed search and rescue operations.
As of 9:00 a.m. on August 15, Tan Son Nhi Ward Police and other professional units were still blocking off the scene, collecting evidence and conducting an autopsy to clarify the cause of the explosion. Property damage is still being counted.
The cause of the incident is currently being further investigated by the authorities.
