On May 7, the Traffic Police Department of Dak Lak Provincial Police said that Road Traffic Police Team No. 3 had made a record to fine a tractor-trailer driver for overtaking a railway barrier when the barrier was lowering, damaging the safety warning device.
At about 9:36 am on the same day, at the automatic warning level crossing Km1215+650 in Hoa Xuan commune, Mr. B.V. D (resident of Khanh Hoa province) was driving a tractor-trailer pulling a semi-trailer traveling in the East - West direction.
During the movement, the driver drove the vehicle across the level crossing when the barrier was lowering, breaking the automatic barrier CC1 and damaging the warning device at the railway intersection area.
Fortunately, at the time of the incident, train SE5 passing through the area was still safe, and no railway accident occurred.
Immediately after receiving the information, functional forces were present at the scene to verify and make a record of handling violations against the driver.
According to regulations, for the above act, Mr. B.V. D was fined 5 million VND, had his driver's license revoked for 2 months and had to compensate for all damages caused by the incident.
