162 initiatives of workers bring in more than 152 million USD in profit
On the afternoon of May 7, in Ho Chi Minh City, Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Anh Tuan attended the innovation day 2026 of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Corporation (PVEP).
PVEP's report said that in 2025, PVEP's collective of employees had 162 initiatives that brought profits of more than 152 million USD. Many solutions were applied directly to high-cost stages, helping to save resources, improve operational efficiency and ensure production safety.
Mr. Kieu Ngoc Anh - Chairman of PVEP Trade Union - said that PVEP's creative labor movement in 2025 has gone in the right direction, focusing on the direct labor force, where many practical problems arise that need to be improved and optimized, shifting from breadth to depth, from form to substance.
PVEP Trade Union has clearly shown its role as a central organization in orienting, organizing and promoting the creative labor movement. Through grassroots trade unions, PVEP Trade Union has done a good job of propaganda, mobilization, and arousing the spirit of creativity in the workforce, while closely coordinating with professionals in deploying, evaluating and applying initiatives to practice.
PVEP's 2026 emulation movement has the theme "Technology Pioneering - Innovation; Enhancing the national energy position; Breakthrough to expand globally".
PVEP Trade Unions at all levels will focus on propagating and mobilizing union members and employees to strongly respond to emulation movements to exceed production and business targets, ensure safety, thrift, improve investment efficiency, management and administration; emulation for creative labor, promoting initiatives, technical improvements, digital transformation and building a professional, united, and responsible PVEP enterprise culture.
Trade unions must participate in the emulation movement in a substantive way
Speaking at the festival, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Anh Tuan highly appreciated the initiatives of PVEP's collective of employees and workers that have contributed to the development of the Vietnam National Energy Industry Group (PVN) and the country.
Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour Nguyen Anh Tuan also expressed his pleasure at the fact that the emulation movements launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour have brought practical efficiency to businesses and the country and said that these effects will be the basis for the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour to continue to launch emulation movements in the new period.
According to Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Anh Tuan, emulation movements must achieve the goals of good labor, high productivity, and good income. Innovation, application of science and technology, and artificial intelligence will make important contributions to economic development.
Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Anh Tuan also noted that PVEP Trade Union must actively participate in emulation movements in a substantive way, encourage, stand side by side, support workers, and accompany professionals to contribute to higher labor productivity, better business development, and improved workers' lives.
Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Anh Tuan requested PVEP's collective of employees to continue to promote the spirit of innovation to have more initiatives and technical improvements, benefiting businesses as well as contributing to the country's economic development.
On this occasion, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor also awarded Creative Labor Certificates to individuals of PVEP who achieved the title of Creative Labor in the patriotic emulation movement.
