Thai Nguyen - Without steering, a young man still stood up to take over his brother-in-law after he caused an accident and was fined 2.5 million VND.

On November 4, information from Thai Nguyen Provincial Police said that the unit had just fined a case of accepting a replacement for a person causing a traffic accident in the area.

Previously, at around 7.25 p.m. on September 2, at the Royal Residential Area, Phan Dinh Phung Ward, a car with license plate 30L-834.xx owned by D.T.A. (born in 1993, Hanoi) was driving while reversing from the sidewalk onto the road, causing a collision.

The car crashed into a motorbike 98H1-379.xx driven by P.D.L (born in 2002, Bac Ninh) carrying N.P.H.L (born in 2002, Da Nang), then continued to crash into two other vehicles parked on the sidewalk.

After the accident, driver D.T.A left the scene and did not report the incident until September 8.

Notably, V.B.K (born in 2001, Thai Nguyen) was the driver's sister-in-law who took over, confessed that he was the driver and agreed to compensate for the damage.

The police determined that the cause of the incident was that D.T.A reversed the vehicle without looking behind, violating traffic safety regulations.

The police fined D.T.A 42 million VND, deducted 10 points from the driver's license and fined the owner of the P 5 million VND for handing over the vehicle for expiration of the inspection.

V.B.K, the person who took over the driver who caused the accident, was fined 2.5 million VND for false declaration, which hindered the investigation.
