Dak Lak gives students 2 days off to prevent storm No. 13

On the evening of November 4, the Dak Lak Department of Education and Training sent a document to educational institutions to let students stay home to prevent and avoid storm No. 13 (storm Kalmaegi).

Implementing the Official Dispatch of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee on proactively implementing plans to respond to storm Kalmaegi and floods, the Department of Education and Training (DET) agreed to let students take a 2-day break, to ensure absolute safety for teachers and students and limit damage caused by the storm as well as post-storm circulation.

Accordingly, students, pupils and preschool children at educational institutions in coastal communes and wards such as Song Cau, Xuan Dai, Binh Kien, Tuy Hoa, Phu Yen, Hoa Hiep, Xuan Loc, Xuan Canh, Tuy An Bac, Tuy An Dong, O Loan, Tuy An Nam, Hoa Xuan, Xuan Tho, Dong Xuan, Phu Mo and some neighboring communes and wards will have school days off from the afternoon of November 5 (Wednesday) to the end of November 7, 2025 (Friday).

Units organize compensatory teaching, ensuring adequate program content at the right time.

The Department of Education and Training requests the People's Committees of communes and wards to direct educational institutions in the area and units under the Department to regularly keep in touch with parents and local authorities to manage and ensure the safety of students during school break.

Previously, the Department of Education and Training issued Document No. 1351 guiding schools and educational institutions in the area to deploy prevention, control and response work to storm No. 13 and floods.
