Due to the influence of increased cold air, the temperature on the top of Fansipan on the morning of January 1 was lower than previous days.
Here, the frost continues to occur with greater intensity, in places sheltered from the wind, the frost crystallizes into a thick white layer. When the sun appears and shines, the air temperature increases, causing the frost to gradually melt.
It is known that this is the second consecutive day that ice has appeared covering the Fansipan peak area in late 2024 and early 2025.
Previously, in the early morning of December 31, 2024, Fansipan peak also experienced a phenomenon of frost covering everything in white. It is forecasted that the temperature on Fansipan mountain will remain low at night and on the morning of January 2, with the possibility of frost continuing to appear.
Previously, on November 23 and December 23, the temperature in Sa Pa town dropped sharply, causing frost to appear twice on Fansipan peak.
