On the afternoon of June 29, a fire occurred at a water filter core production workshop in Dong Tinh village, Nghia Tru commune, Hung Yen province. The fire created a column of black smoke rising tens of meters high, and many assets inside the workshop were burned down.
According to a representative of Nghia Tru commune, the fire occurred at about 4 pm on the same day at a factory area of about 1,000 m2 specializing in producing water filter cores. Immediately after discovering the incident, functional forces urgently arrived to deploy firefighting measures to prevent the fire from spreading to the surrounding area.
Because the raw materials for producing the water filter core have plastic components, which are flammable, the fire quickly broke out strongly. From afar, a dense column of black smoke can be observed covering the area, affecting visibility.
By the evening of June 29, functional forces had basically controlled the fire, preventing it from spreading to neighboring buildings.
Representatives of Nghia Tru commune said that the fire did not cause any casualties. However, many assets inside the factory were destroyed by fire.
Currently, the cause of the fire and the value of property damage are being inspected, verified, and clarified by functional agencies.
