According to the report, Huong Son is the district with the second largest area of forest and forestry land in the province with over 84,530 hectares, of which 8 forest owners organize management of over 59,990 hectares, household forest owners manage nearly 20,840 hectares and the People's Committee of the commune manages nearly 3,700 hectares.
Next, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Trong Hai and the working group inspected the area at high risk of forest fires managed by the Hong Linh Protective Forest Management Board.
Hong Linh town has 1,700 hectares of forest and forestry land, of which 1,400 hectares are managed by the Hong Linh Protective Forest Management Board; the remaining forest area is managed by households, individuals and the People's Committees of communes. In particular, among these, there are 1,200 hectares of key, easily burning forests, mainly concentrated in the Hong Linh mountain range.
The whole province of Ha Tinh has 358,472 hectares of forest and forestry land, distributed in 12 districts, cities and towns. Of which, 321,967 hectares of forest and forestry land have been allocated to organizations, households, and individuals for management, accounting for 90%; the area that has not been allocated is managed by the People's Committee of the commune at 36,505 hectares; the forest coverage rate in 2024 is 52.33%.
In the whole province, there are about 130,000 hectares of easily-flammable forests spread across 12 districts, cities, and towns, mainly purely pine forests; mixed pine forests interspersed with acacia and eucalyptus; pure acacia forests; mixed bamboo and rattan forests...

Through the inspection, Mr. Vo Trong Hai - Chairman of Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee requested all levels, sectors, units and localities to consider forest fire protection and prevention as an important political task, and focus on doing well with the motto of prevention as the main goal.
Require units, localities, and forest owners to focus on promoting propaganda and dissemination of laws, raising awareness, consciousness, and responsibility of cadres, party members, and people of all walks of life in forest fire protection and prevention.
Increase the force on duty to detect forest fires early, monitor people entering and leaving the forest during the peak hot season; proactively implement a "4 on-site" plan to be ready to respond promptly to forest fires when they first arise.
According to the Ha Tinh Provincial Forest Protection Department, from the beginning of 2025 until now, there have been no forest fires in Ha Tinh province.
Previously, in 2024, there were 6 forest fires in this province, but thanks to early detection and timely extinguishment, the area of forest caught fire was low, only over 3 hectares.
