Speaking at the working session, Provincial Party Secretary Pham Dai Duong expressed his impression that just from a small production workshop in Zhejiang more than thirty years ago, Geely has risen to become one of the fastest growing technology and automotive corporations in the world - a global symbol of the modern automotive industry.
In particular, Geely Group has been and is investing heavily in research and development. The Group has built a network of R&D centers in many countries such as China, Sweden, Germany and the UK with tens of thousands of engineers developing electric vehicle technologies, artificial intelligence and smart vehicle systems...
Provincial Party Secretary Pham Dai Duong emphasized that cooperation with corporations in the Fortune Global 500 list such as Geely is completely consistent with the high-quality and sustainable industrial development strategy that the province is aiming for.
Leaders of Phu Tho province proposed that leaders of Geely Automobile Co., Ltd. soon send a specialized survey team to Phu Tho to concretize the contents that businesses can cooperate with the province, especially researching the establishment of R&D centers, electric vehicle factories, and high-tech component factories in key industrial parks of the province.
Leaders of Phu Tho province also affirmed their commitment to accompany and create the most favorable conditions when businesses come to invest in the province.
On behalf of the leaders of Geely Automobile Co., Ltd., Mr. Gui Shengyue expressed his appreciation for the deep concern of Phu Tho provincial leaders for the enterprise.
At the same time, he affirmed that, with the potential, available advantages and preferential policies in attracting investment of the province, Phu Tho will be a bright spot in the investment map in Vietnam; Geely will study investment plans here in the near future.
