On the afternoon of January 9, Politburo member, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received Mr. Nghiem Gioi Hoa - founder of Pacific Construction Group, a large private enterprise of China in the field of investment, construction, operation and management of infrastructure, continuously in the top 500 largest corporations globally for 10 consecutive years.
Happy to meet Mr. Nghiem Gioi Hoa again, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated the group's participation in important projects in Hanoi in the past as a contractor; welcomed the group's proposals to participate in large infrastructure projects in Vietnam in the coming time.
The Prime Minister requested the group to invest more in Vietnam, cooperate with Vietnamese businesses, have specific and typical projects and products associated with technology transfer, contribute to Vietnam's socio-economic development and contribute to promoting the relationship between the two countries that is developing very well, bringing benefits to both sides.
Emphasizing the important role of planning with a long-term vision, thinking deeply and making big, the Prime Minister proposed that Pacific Group study and continue to participate in projects in Vietnam to more effectively exploit development spaces, including the subway project from Tan Son Nhat airport to Long Thanh airport.
For his part, Mr. Nghiem Gioi Hoa said that Thai Binh Duong Group has won the bid and is implementing 3 large projects in Hanoi, including the project to build Tu Lien bridge and access roads at both ends of the bridge, started on May 19, 2025; the project to build Ngoc Hoi bridge and access roads at both ends of the bridge, started on August 19, 2025; the project to build Hanoi urban railway line No. 5 Van Cao-Hoa Lac, started on December 19, 2025.
Reporting to the Prime Minister on the implementation of the above projects, Mr. Nghiem Gioi Hoa also presented the group's cooperation plan in Vietnam in the coming time; expressed his desire to participate in large infrastructure projects, continue to cooperate and be attached to Vietnam for a long time according to the direction that the Prime Minister has expressed his opinion.
