Sports plug-in hybrids were once popular in Vietnam in 2015-2017, with about 35 cars imported officially and illegally. When it first returned home, the rolling price of BMW i8 was not less than 8.2 billion VND.
The car for sale has covered more than 60,000 km. Notably, this i8 model is equipped with a wide body kit package (wide body), creating a more sporty and individual appearance. In addition, the car's rims have also been upgraded to increase aesthetics and performance.
Technically, the BMW i8 uses a plug-in hybrid powertrain, combining a 1.5L gasoline engine, a 228-horsepower, 3-cylinder, and an electric motor. The total capacity reaches 362 horsepower, maximum torque of 570 Nm, accompanied by a 6-speed automatic transmission. The car is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds, with an electronic maximum speed limit of 250 km/h.
When operating purely on electricity, the BMW i8 can travel about 35 km with a maximum speed of 135 km/h. Although no longer outstanding compared to current electric vehicles, these parameters were highly appreciated at the time of launch. The aerodynamic design, butterfly doors and modern interior continue to be the attraction of this hybrid sports car model.
