The police note that from January 1, 2025, the Law on Road Traffic Safety and Order, Decree 168/2024/ND-CP stipulate administrative sanctions for violations of road traffic safety and order; deduction of points, restoration of driving license points take effect.
Accordingly, some violations of road traffic safety order have increased fines compared to before, such as for motorbike and motorbike drivers who run red lights and are fined 4-6 million VND (the old fine was 800,000 VND to 1 million VND).
Speeding errors for motorbikes are as follows:
Fine for motorbikes exceeding the prescribed speed from 05 km/h to less than 10 km/h: Fine from 400,000 VND to 600,000 VND.
Fine for speeding by motorbikes from 10 km/h to 20 km/h: Fine from 800,000 VND to 1,000,000 VND.
The fine for driving a motorbike at a speed exceeding the prescribed speed limit by more than 20 km/h: Fine from VND 6,000,000 to VND 8,000,000; at the same time, the violator will have 04 points deducted from the driver's license.
when paying the fine, motorbike drivers need to prepare the following documents: vehicle registration, driver's license of the violator, citizen identification card of the violator (photocopy 1 copy of each type of document).
