I went to the training facility to ask for the driver's license number to update, but the school said that the police had not sent the file to the school yet. So how long do I have to wait and how to know the driver's license number?
Hanoi City Police said that after receiving information, they worked directly with citizen N.V.T to determine the cause and check the student's file.
Through comparison between the original dossier at the training institution, the dossier of the driving license exam on March 26, 2026 and the data on the professional software system for driving license management, the cause was determined:
In the process of converting and synchronizing electronic data from paper records to the software system of the Traffic Police Department, citizen ID card information of citizen N.V.T has not been fully updated (the citizen ID card number is not accurate); this leads to data non-synchronization between the issued driver's license and the citizen's identification account on the VNeTraffic application.
Citizen N.V.T also stated that although he had been instructed by the examination council on the exam regulations and checked personal information before entering the exam, the citizen stated that due to nervousness, he did not check the information carefully, specifically providing a missing number on his citizen identification card.
Accordingly, Hanoi City Police has coordinated with the Traffic Police Department to review, supplement and accurately correct the citizen identification number of citizen N.V.T on the management system.
Currently, citizen N.V.T's driver's license data has been updated and displayed on the VNeTraffic application. At the same time, citizens have directly received PET card driver's licenses.
Citizen N.V.T completely agreed with the solution and had no further questions. Along with that, Hanoi City Police have conducted a review of the entire list of students taking the same test period as citizen N.V.T to ensure that there are no more cases of similar errors.
To ensure that people's driver's license data is updated promptly on the VNeTraffic application, the Ministry of Public Security requests people to pay attention to recording and entering correct information when carrying out procedures to register for driver's license exams or when carrying out driver's license re-issuance.
