On the evening of July 19, information from the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) of the Ministry of Public Security said that in 24 hours, from 7:30 am on July 18 to 7:30 am on July 19, the AI camera system managed and operated by this unit at Km20 of the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway recorded 11,482 vehicle trips.
From the analysis data, AI cameras issued warnings for 18 suspected violations. After functional forces reviewed, 3 vehicles were identified as speeding, including 2 private cars and 1 transport business vehicle.
Not only detecting violations through AI cameras, channels receiving people's feedback also continue to record a lot of information sent to the traffic police force.
During the above period, the Facebook fanpage of the Traffic Police Department received 7 complaints and has transferred them all to local police for verification.
On the Zalo platform, 11 complaints were sent, of which 3 cases were sufficient grounds to transfer to functional agencies for verification. The VNeTraffic application alone received 46 complaints and all have been transferred to the Traffic Police Departments of localities and the Expressway Traffic Police Team for handling.
According to the Traffic Police Department, most of the people's feedback is related to high-risk acts that cause accidents such as running red lights, going wrong or against traffic, changing lanes improperly, driving into emergency lanes, illegal stopping and parking, overtaking vehicles improperly, swerving, zigzagging and carrying oversized goods, dropping goods onto the road.
Along with handling violations, the VNeTraffic application continues to attract more users. By the morning of July 19, this platform had 9,439,429 registered accounts, an increase of 25,960 accounts in just one day.
The Traffic Police Department recommends that traffic participants strictly comply with the provisions of law, because violations are not only detected through the surveillance camera system but also from people's feedback.
When violations are detected, people can send images and videos via the VNeTraffic application or official Facebook and Zalo channels of the traffic police force to support functional agencies in handling.
