The AI camera system operated by the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) of the Ministry of Public Security continues to record many traffic violations in Hanoi and on the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway.
According to statistics from the Traffic Police Department, in the period from 7:30 am on July 14 to 7:30 am on July 15, 2026, at the Pham Van Bach - Hoang Quan Chi intersection (Hanoi), the AI system recorded 35 cases of motorcyclists not wearing helmets, 85 cases of running red lights and 4 cases of going against traffic.
At the Le Van Luong - Nguyen Tuan intersection (Hanoi), the system continued to detect 2 cases of cars going in the wrong lane.
Meanwhile, on the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway, through inspection of more than 10,400 vehicles, the AI camera system detected 1 case of a truck speeding.
In addition to monitoring with AI cameras, in the past 24 hours, the Traffic Police Department has also received dozens of complaints from people through Facebook, Zalo and the VNeTraffic application about violations such as improper overtaking, going against traffic, stopping and parking in violation of regulations, changing lanes in violation of regulations, going into emergency lanes and not obeying traffic lights.
According to the Traffic Police Department, all information provided by people is transferred to functional units for verification and handling according to the provisions of law.
The Traffic Police Department said that the AI-integrated surveillance camera system is operated 24/7 continuously to support functional forces to promptly detect and handle violations, and at the same time contribute to preventing traffic accidents.
Behaviors such as running red lights, going against traffic, going in the wrong lane, speeding or not wearing a helmet can all become the cause of particularly serious traffic accidents," the Traffic Police Department emphasized.
The Traffic Police Department recommends that traffic participants strictly comply with the provisions of law, raise awareness when driving vehicles to ensure safety for themselves and the community.
