Traffic police, Ho Chi Minh City Police also just said that through social networking sites, the An Suong Traffic Police Team has recorded images reflecting on a bus traveling on Nguyen Van Bua Street, riding on the sidewalk to overcome a slow-moving traffic flow.
After verification, the An Suong Traffic Police Team invited the driver involved to the unit's headquarters to work and fine him according to the provisions of law.
At the police station, the bus driver with license plate 51B-309.XX on the An Suong - Hau Nghia route, reported on social media, Mr. N.V.B, born in 1978, residing in Tay Ninh province, admitted his violation.
Mr. B said that at around 12:35 on October 7, 2025, Mr. B was driving the above bus on Nguyen Van Bua Street, Xuan Thoi Son Commune, Ho Chi Minh City.
When he reached the intersection with the entrance to Nguyen Van Cu High School, due to the traffic jam and fear of being late, Mr. B drove the bus halfway down the road, halfway up the side to overtake other vehicles. The An Suong Traffic Police Team has drawn up an administrative violation record against Mr. B for the act of "driving a car on the sidewalk".
For the above behavior, Mr. B will be fined from 6 million to 8 million VND and have 04 points deducted from his driving license.
The act of driving a vehicle on the sidewalk not only violates road traffic rules, but also endangers pedestrians, damages infrastructure and poses a potential risk of accidents. In particular, with public passenger transport vehicles such as buses, this behavior further loses the image and reputation of the transportation industry and reduces people's trust.
The An Suong Traffic Police Team recommends that drivers need to comply with: travel on the correct road and lane; Do not walk on the sidewalk, do not encroach on the sidewalk even in case of traffic congestion; exemplary in complying with the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety, especially for public passenger transport vehicles.
Strictly handling the above violations shows the determination of the An Suong Traffic Police Team in particular and the entire Traffic Police force in general in restoring traffic order and ensuring safety for each person when participating in traffic.
