On October 16, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, the leader of Dien Chau General Hospital (Nghe An) said that regarding the case of a female doctor being threatened with a pen by a patient's family, the police are investigating.
"We have reported the incident to the authorities. Currently, the local police are verifying and clarifying. However, the man who threatened and put pressure on the doctor has left the locality" - the leader of Dien Chau General Hospital informed.

As Lao Dong reported, on the evening of October 15, at the Emergency Department of Dien Chau General Hospital, a patient in Minh Chau commune (Nghe An) was admitted to the hospital in a state of rat bites and high fever. When the medical staff was completing the procedure and asking for the family's phone number to record it in the records, a companion showed an uncomfortable and uncooperative attitude, then suddenly rushed into the emergency room, pulled a pen from the medical staff's hand and hugged her neck, loudly threatening to "ck the face" of the female doctor on duty.
The entire behavior was recorded by the hospital's security camera. The female doctor had just been threatened with a death anniversary for two years, panicked and cried all night after the incident.
The hospital's leaders said that the incident had greatly affected the psychology of the medical staff on duty, and at the same time requested the authorities to handle it strictly to ensure the safety of medical staff while on duty.
