Mazda MX-5 is aimed at people who love compact sports cars with a pure driving feel.

Mazda Vietnam has just started handing over the first batch of Mazda MX-5 to domestic customers. Among them, the manual transmission version has received much attention thanks to bringing a pure driving experience, different from the increasingly popular trend of sports cars using automatic transmissions.

According to shared images, Mazda MX-5 manual uses a 6-speed manual transmission, combined with a black leather interior and soft fabric roof in the same color tone.

The first batch of Mazda MX-5 distributed in Vietnam are all softtop versions. According to information from dealers, the electric folding hardtop (RF) variant is expected to be brought to the market in the near future with a price about 100 million VND higher than the softtop version.

Mazda MX-5 belongs to the two-seater convertible sports car segment, with dimensions of length x width x height of 3.915 x 1.735 x 1.240 mm, wheelbase of 2.310 mm and using rear-wheel drive - a configuration highly appreciated for balance as well as driving feel.

The car is equipped with a Skyactiv-G 2.0L naturally aspirated gasoline engine, producing a maximum power of 181 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 205 Nm. In addition to the 6-speed manual version for those who love the traditional driving experience, Mazda also offers a 6-speed automatic transmission option.

The dual swingarm front suspension and multi-link rear suspension help increase stability when operating. The cockpit stands out with an 8.8-inch central entertainment screen supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a series of safety features such as anti-lock braking (ABS), electronic balance (ESC), cruise control, blind spot warning, rear cross-traffic warning and front and rear braking assist.

The appearance of Mazda MX-5 manual transmission brings more choices for customers who love small sports cars in Vietnam. In the context of manual transmission cars becoming increasingly rare on the market, this variant is expected to meet the needs of those who value direct driving and traditional driving experience.
