Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee has just approved a plan to purchase 24 cars for general work for agencies and units in the area in 2026, with a total maximum budget of 39.6 billion VND.
According to the decision, the funding is allocated from the remaining estimated expenditure of the provincial budget in 2025 transferred to 2026 for implementation.
Among the 24 newly purchased cars, the provincial-level agencies are equipped with 7 cars, including the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council, the Office of the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee, the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee, the Provincial Inspectorate, the Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center and the Provincial Land Fund Development Center.
The remaining 17 vehicles are equipped for the People's Committees of communes and wards. In which, the People's Committee of Dien Bien Phu ward is additionally purchased 1 vehicle; the communes of Sin Thau, Muong Cha, Muong Nhe, Muong Toong, Nam Ke, Quang Lam, Na Bung, Pa Ham, Tua Thang, Sang Nhe, Xa Dung, Muong Luan, Tia Dinh, Nua Ngam, Muong Nha and Muong Lan, each unit is purchased 1 vehicle.
According to the appendix attached to the decision, the maximum budget for each vehicle is 1.6 billion VND. The total budget for 7 provincial units is 12.4 billion VND; commune and ward blocks is 27.2 billion VND.
The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Science and Technology to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Finance and related units to organize procurement according to regulations, ensuring the correct order, procedures and progress of the 2026 plan.
