Instructions for participating in traffic while waiting to be issued and change driving licenses

Hữu Long |

Khanh Hoa - People who have completed the procedures for granting and exchanging driving licenses (GPLX) but have not yet received a physical GPLX can still participate in traffic.

According to the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) under Khanh Hoa Provincial Police, for cases that have completed procedures for granting, exchanging or reissuing driving licenses, while waiting for issuance, the driver can present an electronic driving license via the VNeID application for the traffic police to check and control the valid integrated documents.

In case the driving license data has not been updated to the application due to insufficient processing time (usually 3 working days), the driver can provide the citizen identification number or the old driving license number ( PET material). The traffic police will conduct a search for information on the professional system for comparison.

People can use appointment papers, photos of their driving licenses or driving license information displayed on registered applications to prove their validity when participating in traffic.

Currently, the procedure for granting and exchanging driving licenses is carried out in two forms: Directly at the competent authority or online through the National Public Service Portal. For convenience, people are encouraged to register for issuance and exchange of driving licenses online at: https://dvc4.gplx.gov.vn/p/home/dvc-trang-chu.html
