Compared to the previous high-end version, the 06 Core Plus has had its configuration adjusted to cut some equipment. The advanced driving assistance system (ADAS) and 360-degree cameras are no longer available, instead, there is basic cruise control and rearview cameras.
Some utilities such as automatic rainers, mirror heating and smart unlocking have also been removed. However, core safety features such as 6 airbags, electronic balancing or hill departure support are still maintained.
The exterior of the car has not changed significantly, still using LED lights, two-tone wheels and double exhaust pipes. Some special paint colors were no longer optional, but a new beige color was added.
Inside, the car continues to use a 12.3-inch central screen, a digital dashboard and an electric driver's seat. Notably, the all- out sunroof is still retained, which is often a rare feature on cars of the same equipment range. The two-zone air conditioner and air purification have been removed, replaced with a regular manual air conditioner.
In terms of engine, there is no change. 06 Core Plus still uses a 1.5L turbocharged gasoline engine, 177 horsepower, 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and front-wheel drive. The multi-link rear suspension is still an advantage when compared to competitors in the same B-class SUV segment that prioritizes fuel economy.
Compared to popular models such as Toyota Yaris Cross, Hyundai Creta or Mitsubishi Xforce, which already have a certain position and a wide distribution system, Lynk & Co 06 Core Plus will need time to prove their competitiveness, especially in the context of customers increasingly considering between brand value, after-sales service and long-term usage costs.
