According to the company, this model will outperform the Mercedes-AMG One V6/electric hybrid model with a capacity of 1049 horsepower using an F1 engine.
The Mercedes-AMG styling is designed specifically for AMG electric vehicles and has a modular design. Therefore, it can be used on vehicles with different wheelbases and track widgets. This design can also be suitable for many different types of vehicles.
According to the company, similar designs will be used in upcoming production versions of the Vision AMG - an electric replacement for the current 4-door AMG GT Coupe.
The new Mercedes-AMG supercar will use an 800V electric motor and a new cylindrical lithium-ion battery. The car will be powered by an axle-mounted, high-speed rotary electric motor manufactured at the British company Yasa.
This engine has also been used for the 986 horsepower Ferrari SF90 Stradale Plug-in hybrid system and the Koenigsegg Regera with more than 1479 horsepower. The rotary electric motor on the new model is said to be on par with other AMG V8 gasoline engines.
Sharing with the press, the CEO of Mercedes-AMG said: "Customers come to us because they like the technology that we put into the car. So when it comes to electric vehicles, I am confident that they will embrace this new technology because it will be the latest and greatest technology.
