Decree 168/2024/ND-CP detailing administrative sanctions in the field of road traffic (Decree 168). The Decree takes effect from January 1, 2025.
Clause 11, Article 26 of Decree 168 stipulates: Fines from 40 million to 50 million VND for individuals, from 80 million to 100 million VND for transportation business organizations and transportation support services that re-offend the following acts:
Failure to provide, update, transmit, store, and manage information and data from journey monitoring devices as prescribed.
Failure to provide, update, transmit, store, and manage information and data collected from driver image recording devices installed on cars as prescribed.
Clause 2, Article 31 of Decree 168 stipulates a fine of 40 to 50 million for individuals and 80 to 100 million for organizations that illegally produce license plates or illegally manufacture or assemble road motor vehicles.
In addition to being fined, individuals and organizations committing this violation will also be subject to additional penalties of confiscation of license plates and illegally manufactured or assembled vehicles.
Individuals and organizations committing acts prescribed herein shall also be subject to remedial measures of being forced to return any illegal profits gained from committing administrative violations.
Clause 2, Article 35 of Decree 168 stipulates a fine of 40 to 50 million for individuals and 80 to 100 million for organizations that commit the violation of organizing illegal racing.
