Mr. To Huy Vu - Director of the International Cooperation Department of the State Bank has been mobilized and appointed as Chairman of the Board of Members of the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam (Agribank), and at the same time taking on the role of Agribank Party Committee Secretary of the 2020-25 term.
At the conference announcing the decisions to appoint the Party Committee Secretary and appoint the title of Agribank's Board of Directors in early April 2025, the Governor of the State Bank Nguyen Thi Hong emphasized that the appointment of senior leadership is an important step to enhance Agribank's management and administration in new context. The governor expressed his expectation that Mr. To Huy Vu and the newly appointed personnel will promote the experience, responsibility and solidarity to continue building Agribank to develop strongly, affirming the role as one of the leading commercial banks in Vietnam, making a positive contribution to the country's socio -economic development.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. To Huy Vu respectfully thanked and expressed his honor at being trusted by the Government Party Committee, the Party Committee and the State Bank's Board of Directors.
He affirmed that he will continue to promote his qualifications and working capacity, together with the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, the Party Executive Committee, the Board of Members, the Executive Committee and the entire Agribank system, to inherit and promote the achievements that have been achieved, determined, striving to overcome all challenges, and successfully completing assigned tasks.
In particular, focusing on leading and directing the comprehensive completion of key business targets in 2025 and targets according to the Resolution of the 10th Agribank Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025; Restructuring plan associated with bad debt handling for the period 2021 - 2025; preparing and best ensuring the conditions for successfully organizing the 11th Agribank Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.
In his new position, Mr. To Huy Vu hopes to continue to receive attention, leadership, direction and support from leaders of the Government, ministries, departments, branches, and the State Bank; the attention of previous generations of leaders and the coordination and support of the Board of Directors and all Agribank staff and employees to best complete the assigned tasks.
In 2025, it is important and decisive for the completion of the objectives of the restructuring plan associated with the handling of bad debts in the period of 2021 - 2025 and the targets of the Resolution of the Tenth Agribank Party Committee, term 2020 - 2025. XIV of the Party.
The improvement of senior personnel at Agribank is identified as an important factor to strengthen leadership and direction, ensure effective and efficient operations, and create a solid foundation for the bank to develop sustainably, entering a new development stage with the country - a period of breakthrough and strong development.
Mr. To Huy Vu was born in 1980, hometown of Thanh Hoa. Level: Bachelor of Foreign Trade University, Master of Business Administration, Master of Management, Doctor of Economics in the Republic of France, Senior Political theory. In the course of working at the banking industry, he used to hold the following positions: Deputy Director of the Department of Monetary Pre -Forecasting and Monetary Statistics of the State Bank; Secretary of the Party cell, Director of the Department of Monetary Bank forecasting and Monetary Statistics of the State Bank; Member of the Executive Committee of the State Bank, Secretary of the Party cell, Director of the International Cooperation Department of the State Bank.
