Traffic police have just announced cold fines for many cases of turning around and pressing the wrong line.

The Traffic Police Department, Hung Yen Provincial Police said that from March 16 to March 22, through exploiting the surveillance camera system and using professional equipment, the traffic police force recorded many violations of U-turn in places with signs prohibiting U-turn as follows:

According to Decree 168/2024/ND-CP, car drivers will be fined from 2,000,000 VND to 3,000,000 VND for illegal left turns.

A fine of between VND 2,000,000 and VND 3,000 shall be imposed on drivers who violate the offense of U-turning in places with signs prohibiting U-turning for cars.

If the car driver goes wrong and causes a traffic accident, they will be fined from 20 million VND to 22 million VND and 10 points will be deducted from the driver's license. With the above penalty level, drivers need to pay close attention to the wrong turn and wrong heading.
