On April 13, Ninh Binh Provincial Police said that, according to statistics, there are currently 3,559 dump trucks and semi-trailers with a tonnage of 15 tons or more in the province.
Accordingly, the Traffic Police Department of the Provincial Police has closely coordinated with functional units and the Police of wards and communes in the area to drastically organize measures to review and inspect the situation of extending and changing the size of the vehicle body and cargo box; the installation and change of vehicle structure; service life; ensuring license plates are in the right position; signs of braking, horn control, vehicle lights; the installation of journey monitoring devices and driver image recording devices according to regulations.
For vehicles not operating in the area, functional forces shall conduct inter-provincial verification or coordinate and authorize the vehicle registration agency where the vehicle is operating for inspection, ensuring strict management, ensuring no omissions or slips.
As a result, after 15 days of deployment, the Traffic Police Department coordinated with commune-level police units to inspect and review 1,612 vehicles. Through actual inspection, vehicle owners basically strictly comply with the provisions of law on road traffic order and safety.
Along with promoting the review and inspection work, the Traffic Police Department also coordinates to promote propaganda and guide vehicle owners to sign commitments to strictly comply with legal regulations; and at the same time mobilize maximum forces and vehicles, resolutely and strictly handle violations according to regulations.
