How to calculate traffic violation fines 2025
The method of calculating traffic violation fines is regulated based on the average level of the fine frame according to Decree 118/2021/ND-CP. However, mitigating or aggravating circumstances will affect the specific fine amount.

Average penalty range:
The fine is calculated by the sum of the minimum and maximum of the penalty bracket, then divided in half.

Late payment amount = Total penalty amount x 0.05% x Number of days late

However, late payment of administrative fines shall not be charged in the following cases: during the period of suspension of the execution of the administrative penalty decision; during the period of consideration, decision to reduce or exempt the remaining amount or allow multiple payment of fines.
