The Tiangong 08 is a hybrid of the Tiangong pure electric platform and Hongqi's Jiuzhang intelligent platform. It is sold overseas as the Hongqi EHS7 and is available for order in Europe for $59,000.
The company will start pre-sales of the Tiangong 08 at the 2024 Guangzhou Auto Show, which opens on November 15. The model will be launched in mid-December, and the battery-replacement version will also be available soon after.
The Hongqi Tiangong 08 comes in two versions: rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD). According to the company, the RWD version has a capacity of 339 horsepower and the AWD version adds a front electric motor with a capacity of 271 horsepower with a maximum speed of 200 km/h.
The car also has two battery pack options: ternary lithium and lithium iron phosphate. The ternary lithium battery pack has a capacity of 111 kWh, giving the RWD version a range of 730 km, while the AWD version has a range of 680 km. However, data on the battery capacity and range of the lithium iron phosphate version is not yet available.
In terms of interior, the smart cockpit is equipped with an octagonal steering wheel and LCD clock. The car has a central control screen with two AR-HUD screens to display driving and navigation information in a 4 m and 7.5 m viewing range respectively.
The Hongqi Tiangong 08 can interact with smart voice and Dolby Atmos sound system. There is currently no information about the selling price of the Hongqi Tiangong 08 in the domestic market because the company may want to announce it on the occasion of the 2024 Guangzhou Auto Show.
