In 24 hours, from 7:30 AM on June 13 to 7:30 AM on June 14, 2026, the AI camera system of the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) of the Ministry of Public Security recorded a series of violations on the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway and key intersections in Hanoi.
According to the Traffic Police Department, on the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway, at Km20, during the above time, the AI camera system recorded 10,528 vehicle trips. Through the monitoring process, functional forces discovered 7 violations, including 3 cases of people in the car not wearing seat belts and 4 other violations.
At the Pham Van Bach - Hoang Quan Chi intersection (Hanoi), AI cameras recorded 103 cases of not wearing helmets when participating in traffic, 103 cases of running red lights and 3 cases of going against traffic.
Meanwhile, at the Le Van Luong - Nguyen Tuan intersection (Hanoi), an AI camera detected 1 case of a car going in the wrong lane.
In addition to direct monitoring through the AI camera system, the Traffic Police Department also receives many feedbacks from people about traffic conditions and violations.
Accordingly, through the Facebook platform, functional forces received 107 feedback messages, of which 8 cases were transferred for verification. On Zalo, 22 feedback messages were sent, and 11 cases were transferred for verification and handling.
The VNeTraffic application alone received 462 complaints from people, thereby transferring verification and handling of 31 cases.
According to the Traffic Police Department, the application of AI technology in traffic surveillance along with the participation of people through feedback channels is contributing to improving the efficiency of detecting and handling violations, supporting functional forces to ensure traffic order and safety, and gradually building a more civilized and safe traffic environment.
