According to a report from the Team for Repatriating Martyrs' Remains (Ho Chi Minh City Command), on July 15, functional forces were divided into many departments, conducting excavation and searching with a volume of more than 50m3 of soil. Through efforts to search, the Team discovered and exhumed an additional 19 sets of personal remains, 1 set of collective martyrs' remains and 13 sets of artifacts attached.
Thus, as of now, the total number of collected remains has reached 93 sets of individual remains and 2 sets of collective remains. Searches are being continuously deployed. Task forces are closely coordinating between manual excavation, site inspection and handling of remaining traces underground.
This is the result of the synchronous implementation of many professional measures. The work is carried out with urgency. All tasks put accuracy first to ensure absolute respect for heroic martyrs.
According to the plan, on July 16, the task force will continue to expand the search scope to both ends of the grave trench. This plan is implemented to fully determine the scope of the burial area and not miss any traces. The forces still maintain a continuous working regime at the scene.
