According to statistics from the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) of the Ministry of Public Security, in 24 hours, from 7:30 am on June 26 to 7:30 am on June 27, 2026, the AI camera system managed by this unit continued to be effective in monitoring, detecting and supporting the handling of violations of traffic order and safety on many roads.
On the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway, the AI camera system recorded 10,025 vehicle trips. Through analysis, the AI camera system warned 44 cases of signs of violation. After functional forces inspected, it was determined that there were 5 violations, including 4 cases where drivers or passengers did not fasten seat belts and 1 case of speeding violation.
At the Pham Van Bach - Hoang Quan Chi intersection (Hanoi), the AI camera system detected 106 violations. Among them, there were 69 cases of motorcyclists not wearing helmets, 34 cases of motorbikes running red lights and 3 cases of motorbikes going against traffic.
Also according to the Traffic Police Department, in addition to detecting violations through the AI camera system, the Traffic Police force also receives hundreds of complaints from people through Facebook, Zalo channels and the VNeTraffic application. Many information has been transferred to functional units for verification and handling according to regulations.
The acts reflected by people mainly include driving motorbikes on one wheel, running red lights, going against traffic, running into emergency lanes, changing lanes improperly, not complying with traffic signs and road markings, not wearing helmets, using phones when driving, parking and stopping vehicles in violation of regulations, covering license plates, carrying bulky goods or carrying more people than prescribed.
The Traffic Police Department recommends that each violation act poses a potential risk of causing traffic accidents. Traffic participants need to raise their awareness of voluntarily complying with the law, complying with traffic signals, driving in the correct lane, at the correct speed, and always wearing helmets and seat belts to protect themselves as well as the community.
