The electric motorcycle market in Vietnam is developing rapidly with many models in the popular segment. In the price range of about 25-30 million VND, consumers can choose some products from brands such as VinFast, Yadea and Honda, with differences in operating range, battery technology and accompanying utilities.
In this segment, car models mainly use lithium or LFP batteries, for a travel distance of about 70-160 km per charge, depending on battery capacity and operating conditions.
One of the popular models is VinFast Evo, using a 1.5 kWh LFP battery. The car costs about 19.9 million VND for the non-battery version and about 25.6 million VND for the version with battery and charger. According to the manufacturer, Evo can travel about 85 km after each charge, or up to about 165 km when adding an extra battery. The car is equipped with an electric motor with a capacity of 1,500 W and has a maximum speed of about 70 km/h.
In the slightly better segment, VinFast Feliz II is equipped with two LFP batteries that can be replaced or recharged at home. The selling price is about 30.5 million VND when included with the battery and charger, or about 24.9 million VND if not included with the battery. The model uses an electric motor with a capacity of 1,800 W, giving a maximum speed of about 70 km/h and a range of about 156 km when using two batteries.
Another option from the Yadea brand is the Yadea Osta, designed in neo-retro style. The car uses an electric motor with a capacity of 1,500 W, reaching a maximum speed of about 63 km/h. The 30 Ah LFP battery provides a range of about 120 km after each charge. This model is also equipped with a color TFT screen and supports smartphone connectivity.
In addition to the above models, the market also has some products that do not use battery exchange systems. For example, the previous version of VinFast Feliz Feliz II is equipped with a 2.4 kWh battery capacity, for a travel distance of about 134 km after each charge. The car costs about 30.5 million VND when included with the battery and charger.
Meanwhile, Honda ICON e: is distributed at a price of about more than 26 million VND (excluding batteries). The car uses a 30.6 Ah lithium-ion battery, for a range of about 71 km after each charge. An electric motor with a capacity of 1,500 W helps the car reach a maximum speed of about 49 km/h.
Another model is the Yadea Voltguard P-L, priced at about 27.9 million VND. The car uses a 30 Ah LFP battery with a range of about 120 km and an electric motor with a capacity of 1,500 W, maximum speed of about 60 km/h.
According to industry experts, the diversity of designs and battery technology is helping electric motorbikes become a suitable choice for urban travel needs, especially for young users and students.
