Electric cars and the trend of transitioning to green vehicles in Vietnam

In the context of the green transition trend being increasingly strongly promoted, electric vehicles and low-emission vehicles are receiving great attention from Vietnamese consumers. In which, VinFast Limo Green is one of the electric car models that is noticed in the MPV electric segment serving families and business services.

According to experts in the field of transportation and environment, the transition from cars using internal combustion engines to electric vehicles is considered a solution contributing to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, limiting air pollution in major cities and aiming for Vietnam's net zero emissions target by 2050.

The domestic car market in recent years has recorded the rapid development of green car lines such as hybrid, plug-in hybrid and pure electric cars. Among them, electric cars are increasingly becoming a worthwhile choice thanks to their smooth operation, stable usage costs and gradually expanding charging infrastructure.

According to information from VinFast, VinFast Limo Green is oriented to develop to meet the needs of crowded travel, passenger transportation and service business. This electric MPV model aims to optimize interior space, while reducing emissions during use.

Many experts believe that electric vehicles are gradually changing people's vehicle usage habits. Besides environmental benefits, green car lines are also highly appreciated for reducing periodic maintenance costs because they do not use engine oil and have fewer mechanical details than traditional gasoline cars.

The expansion of the charging station system in many provinces and cities also creates more favorable conditions for users to access electric vehicles. This is considered one of the important factors promoting the transition to green vehicles in Vietnam.

The trend of using green cars is also one of the contents emphasized at Green Transformation Day 2026 organized by Lao Dong Newspaper on May 16, at Cau Giay Park (Hanoi). Within the framework of the program, people will visit and experience new electric vehicles, learn about battery technology, charging infrastructure and sustainable transportation solutions.

Notably, the "Gasoline exchange for electricity" activity is expected to contribute to promoting the transition from fossil fuel vehicles to electric vehicles, thereby raising community awareness about energy saving and emission reduction.

In the context of green transportation becoming an inevitable development trend, the appearance of electric vehicles such as VinFast Limo Green shows that the Vietnamese automobile market is gradually shifting towards being environmentally friendly and more sustainable.
