For motor vehicle inspection units, it is required to strictly comply with regulations on technical safety inspection and environmental protection of road motor vehicles. It is not allowed to arbitrarily make requests or instruct vehicle owners to perform things that are not specified in the law.
"In case the truck has an extended side or cargo box that is different from the vehicle's inspection record, the inspection unit will check, evaluate and issue a notice of failure, and at the same time log into the motor vehicle warning software and notify the local traffic police agency. It is strictly forbidden to arbitrarily reissue a renovation certificate from another unit that has previously accepted and issued a renovation certificate" - the Vietnam Register emphasized.
Currently, the Ministry of Transport and the Vietnam Register are urgently developing and completing the draft Decree of the Government, circulars of the Ministry of Transport regulating the inspection of motor vehicles for promulgation in the near future.
