On April 5, the commander of Highway Traffic Police Team No. 6 (Room 6, Traffic Police Department) said that they had made a record of handling a tractor-trailer violating the load limit on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway.
Previously, during patrol and control, the working group stopped to inspect a tractor-trailer with license plate 36H-027. xx at the km163 intersection through Hai Ninh commune, Lam Dong province.

Through inspection, functional forces determined that the vehicle carrying goods exceeding the permitted tonnage (volume of goods transported) was recorded in the technical safety and environmental protection inspection certificate of the vehicle at over 100% to 150%.
Through working, the driver presented papers in the name of N.V.D (born 1979; residing in Ho Chi Minh City). The working group made a record of handling the driver for the above violation. According to regulations, for the above violation, the driver will be fined 7.5 million VND and deducted 8 points from the driver's license.
Regarding the incident, the vehicle owner, A.D Trading Cooperative, was also recorded for allowing a worker to control the vehicle to violate the above act.

For this act, according to regulations, the car owner will be fined 70 million VND and have their badge revoked for 2 months.
The total fine according to regulations for drivers and vehicle owners is 77.5 million VND. Traffic police force drivers to unload according to regulations to be allowed to circulate.
On the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway, there is an ETC non-stop toll collection system, combined with traffic surveillance cameras and automatic weight stations.
Therefore, vehicles exceeding the load capacity when entering the expressway will be detected and handled. This is to contribute to limiting the situation of overloaded vehicles causing damage to expressway infrastructure.
