Both used MQB A1 chassis, hot-strengthened steel body structure at key points to increase stiffness and protection when colliding. The overall size of the car is 4,390 x 1,841 x 1,603 mm, the wheelbase is 2,638 mm and the ground clearance is 164 mm.
The engine for both versions is a 1.4 TSI gasoline turbocharged engine, 1,395 cc capacity, producing 150 horsepower and a maximum torque of 250 Nm at the range of 1,500 - 3,500 rpm, combined with an 8-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. The vehicle meets Euro 6 emission standards.
Notable exterior equipment includes a Matrix LED headlights system that can adapt to driving angles and traffic conditions. Karoq Premium uses an 18-inch rim, while the Sportline version uses a 19-inch rim and has an all- out sunroof.
The Premium version's interior includes an 8-inch central screen, an 8-inch digital cluster, a twin-turbo steering wheel, and a 12-way power steering wheel with a memory. Sportline upgraded the cluster to 10.25 inches, adding a device cooling wireless charger, a 10-speaker Canton sound system and a 360-degree camera.
Both versions have a two-zone automatic air conditioning system, active air filtration, three driving modes, and support systems such as adaptive cruise control, collision warning, emergency brake assist, blind spot warning and hill departure assist. Sportline has added a Park Assist feature. Standard safety equipment includes 7 airbags, electronic balance system, traction control, tire pressure sensor and multi-collision prevention system.
